One of only 100 deluxe numbered copies, SIGNED by Joan Hassall, numbered '34'. The total edition was 2,500 of which 1,250 were for sale. Publisher's quarter black morocco over grey cloth lettered and decorated gilt to the spine, top edge gilt, patterned endpapers. The book is housed in a matching slipcase. Royal Octavo. pp. [lxii], [2] 1-160 [limitation and signature page] with 7 plates print from the wood at the Cuckoo Press, bound in at the rear. Inserted in a pocket on the rear pastedown is a miniature pamphlet [Garland Chapbook No.1] titled 'The Plain Facts by a Plain but Amiable Cat' illustrated and signed by Joan Hassall.
