Description
First Edition of a 'little volume, containing a sketch of Persian history', not to be confused, despite the gilt lettering on the spine, with the author's two-volume 'A History of Persia' published by Macmillan & Co, Limited in 1915. The spine title is 'A History of Persia', but the title page simply states 'Persia'. Publisher's blue cloth with blind border to the front and rear covers. Small Octavo. pp. [4] 188, with a fold-out map of Persia at the end of the book, followed by two pages, dated November 1929, advertising the Histories of the Nations series.
Condition
A book in Good condition only with rubbing and staining to the cloth boards, but with a tight binding and clean pages. The small, neat signature of H.M. Carless on the front free endpaper.
