First Edition, in three Parts in one volume, with Appendices. With an Introduction by Major-General Sir A.A. Chichester, K.C.M.G., C.B., D.S.O., Colonel -in-Chief of the Regiment and SIGNED by him. Publisher's green cloth with gilt lettering to spine and gilt regimental badge to the front cover. Inscribed "To Major V. Sclater | with best wishes from Dominic Hegarty | with happy memories of the | 1st Br. Dorsetshire Regt. | Londonderry, 1919". Major Sclater (then Lieut. Sclater of the 2/4th BN., was shot through the foot and taken prisoner on 9th April 1918 at the battle of Three Bushes Hill (Berukin, Palestine).
