Description
Special copy number 'IX' of eleven copies numbered I-XI from a total edition of 211 copies. Quarter-bound in black morocco with Cockerell marbled paper boards and a gilt title-label to the spine, and signed on the limitation page [6] by Sebastian Carter, together with with a folder containing preparatory material for one of the eleven spreads, in this case: ALICE IN WONDERLAND, the annotated edition by Martin Gardner, all in a paper-covered board slipcase. Printed on Arches Vélin and Fabriano Ingres Verdastro with experimental settings of the eleven books utilising twenty-three different typefaces, wood letter and ornaments, printed in seven colours. Large Quarto, 320 x 255 mm, pp. [104]. The dark brown, separate card folder contains 10 items of hand-annotated preliminary materials and a bound section of 'Chapter seven, A mad tea-party'.
