Copy number '502' of an edition limited to 650 ordinary copies printed in English by Walter Lewis at Cambridge University Press and numbered in Morison's hand. There were an additional 200 copies printed in French, 150 copies printed in German and 15 deluxe copies. The text is composed in the roman type made by Francesco Griffo for Aldus Manutius originally used in the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili and reproduced by Lanston Monotype Corporation. Original half-linen, black panelled sides with linen label inset on the front cover, black lettering to the spine. Lacks dust-jacket. Bound by Messrs Straker & Son, Smith Brothers, London. Large Folio, 460 x 340 mm, pp. lxiv (text) and 328 illustrations in the original colours, printed by Jacomet, Paris.
