Copy number '83' of an edition limited to 150 copies. The translation from the Latin of 'De Ave Phoenice' by Lactantius, was written by Alun Briggs and printed from blocks made from his original calligraphy. Supporting text is in Perpetua and printed on 225gsm Zerkall paper. Black cloth, paper label to the backstrip, Canson Mi-Teintes wndpapers. Oblong Quarto, 225 x 245 mm, pp. [40] with hand-stencilled illustrations by Peter Allen.
