Description
Copy number '37' of an edition limited to 120 copies printed on a Barrett & Cope Albion of 1832 on T.H. Saunders paper. Title page set in Koch Antiqua, the remaining text in Caslon, the majority set and cast on the Monotype at Rooksmoor Press, Stroud. Quarter red cloth over Canson Mi-Teintes paper-covered boards, binding by Ludlow Bookbinders. Gilt lettering to the red cloth over the upper board. Octavo, 244 x 165 mm, pp. [48] with a double page photographic image (a still from an Imperial War Museum archive film) tipped in the middle of the book and showing General Sir Edmund Allenby at the time he was received at the Jaffa Gate by the British Military Governor; possibly the only time that Lawrence and Wavell were photographed together.
