Copy number '199' of an edition limited to 300 copies, signed by both the author and by her brother, the illustrator Eric Gill. Original linen backed boards with printed paper label to the spine. Gilt bird motif and frame on red leather bookplate (of C.S. Barlow) to the front pastedown. Octavo, pp. [4, blank] [illustrated title page] [3, prelims] [contents] [engraving] 9-40 [41] [5, blank] with six engravings by Eric Gill.
Condition
A book in Good condition with fading of the boards, a patch (5 x 2cm) of surface loss of paper on the upper board and slight chipping of the book label. However, the pages and all of the engravings are clean and unmarked.
