"The supply of former booklets devoted exclusively to specimens of Caslon Old Face Roman and Italic having been completely exhausted, the present issue has been produced to meet requests by printers in all parts of the world... For grace and strength, as well as legibility, Caslon Old Face is still without a serious rival. William Caslon, indeed, gave to his own age and to posterity a type face possessing all that he found worthy of preservation in the designs of his predecessors."
